Growing Schools

  • ISAA can assist those wanting to start a Islamic school with both general and specific advice, depending on their stage of development.
  • This includes existing schools wanting advice about starting new campuses, or communities seeking to start a new standalone school.
  • ISAA can provide advice and assistance regarding school registration, funding and other statutory requirements. 
  • Through the ISAA network, assistance may also take the form of shared policies and curriculum or more hands on involvement

 

Financial Management

  • The purpose is to provide a framework of good practice for boards, principals and business managers to apply.
  • The support includes other resources such as finance policy documents, assets policy, accounting policy documents, and compliance checklists
  • Advice may vary between school jurisdictions

 

Governance, Leadership & Administration Advice

  • The purpose is to provide advice for best practice for boards, principals and business managers to apply.
  • The support includes other resources such as policy documents, strategic advice and human resource strategy
  • Events and forums which focus on governance, leadership and school administration

 

Compliance

  • ISAA provides a range of key policies and resources for Islamic schools to ensure they remain compliant with regulatory bodies and agencies

Briefings

  • Briefings are regular updates provided to members on a variety of topics, including; policy and compliance issues; key Government requirements both Federal and State/Territory; and, inquiries and reviews by Parliaments, Government Departments and agencies impacting Islamic schools

 

Critical Incident Support

  • ISAA provides context-sensitive real-time support for members during critical incidents.
  • ISAA can provide timely advice about dealing with authorities, media, the school community and other stakeholders including the wider public. Where requested, ISAA can deal directly with stakeholders on behalf of a member school. As in everything we do, our support is based on clear Islamic principles of relationship, accountability, integrity and compassion. ISAA maintains good relationships with commonwealth and state authorities.
